This was taken on a 10 sec exposure at 3.5 with a low flash 200iso I wanted to get the feeling of movement without losing too much of the dynamic range in the background

Smoking a Flare

This photo really speaks for itself,  no flash, Canon 40d 17- 85mm Lens at 17mm.

i was covering someones birthday party at this club by the docks  so big bounce flash.

But when I saw this shot i turned off the flash and cranked the Iso right to 800, focused on the light just out side of the flare and snaped. I had only one chance so I had to make it count.

Hey there photo fans, I took this through the reflection of the black coffee table at a resturant in Waterloo.I found that by doing this I eliminated most of the background rubbish that would be there if i took the image dead on.
